Its 2am! You are hungry. Craving for something sweet. Something that will satisfy your desire for the Yummy, lucious and creamy Red Velvet Cupcake. You opened the fridge door. You gave a loud shriek. "There's no more Buttermilk!!!" Heart thumping hard thinking about your faithful stomach that has always been the counselor for your cravings. As you slowly descend down to the ground, the feeling of regret showering you as you remembered that you saw that packet of Buttermilk when you were at the bakery shop. But you just resists to buy it because you saw a better snack to buy instead. The Chocolate Ice Cream.

Imagine you are this situation. What would you do?

One suggestion that we could give is by using substitution. Yes, the product that you are trying to make may not have the exact taste that you want but sometimes we would need to substitute in ingredient or two.
Here is a website with a list of ingredient substitution that we can use as a guideline.

Ingenious! We thought so. A friend shared this video on Facebook and we would like to share it with you. Maybe this could saved us more time without having to crack an egg one at a time in order to separate the yolk from the white.

Watching this, maybe we could actually use this method when we bake with our kids. Surely that will be a lot of fun. Kids love doing something that is hands-on right? Not only do they learn to separate the egg whites but Math can also be implemented into this method. Counting the eggs out for example.

Don't forget too, to read our other entries about the different types of Cream, where different country hasve different name to it. We shared an article that could help you to clear that doubt. Other than cream, we also shared a simple Hot Chocolate Fudge recipe that is not only easy but its delish too! The chocolate fudge that we used for our drizzle on desserts and as dips.

So, Happy baking my friends! You'll sure to have fun in baking. Stay tune for our next updates :)

As frequent patronisers of bakery supply shops, we actually saw abundance of amazing and awesome stuff that we can use as a medium for our creativity hands-on. And that, we sighted upon this cute little utensils that is used for baking with kids So Hey! that triggered the idea for this write-up.

Baking with Kids!

New Model :)
Spending that quality time with our kids will just make the bond stronger and closer. Cool right? So, here is an idea that can be implemented for this. Which is Baking with Kids! Not only will it improve our relationship with them but it will also help them to implement their creativeness based on their own decision. Let their Creative Juice flow freely! Kids are just such a cutie in decorating things. They love colours. Lots of different vibrant colours. And giving them the liberty to make their own decision will be a starting platform for them to be independent. Its a good training for their growing years.

In researching some tips about baking with kids, we found this site that suggested to us 10 Tips on Baking with Kids.

1. Have them read the instructions one by one, then seek them out together
2.  Play dress up: aprons, chef hats, pint-sized baking tools keep the spirit fun
3.  Let the kids do the cutting with fun cookie cutters
4.  Put on holiday music, keep it fun, taste as you go and make a mess
5.  Be in a good mood, Mom!
6.  Get the kids up to counter height so they are in the middle of the action — there’s nothing like standing on a good stool next to Mom
7.  Measure & count. Show them how to use your measuring spoons and cups
8.  Try new recipes together
9.  Be patient with your little cooks
10.  Accept imperfections! The cookies don’t have to be PERFECT.

We practically love tip number 10! That made it look much more home-made right? So try and implement these tips. Having that fun with your kids as well as learning many new things about them. Building that close bonds with them and the most important part is to be their friends. That is an important thing that we need to try to build between us and the kids. :)

But the most important thing is, this topic popped an idea for us. So wait for the updates! :D

For more updates don't forget to be our friend on Facebook and follow us on Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram! Till then.. Happy Baking!

Something we would like to share! There are many other recipes in various websites that shows great recipes for making delicious Chocolate Fudge. This is an easy recipe that we found through an episode of Martha Stewart a few years ago actually. Since then it is used as chocolate fudge to top ice-cream. And we did used it to dip marshmallows for our sale at a fair in school. Its easy to do and great to eat with any desserts.

Easy Chocolate Fudge Recipe

Ingredients
Chocolate Chips
Whipping Cream

Directions: In a saucepan over medium heat, just mixed the chocolate chips and whipping cream. Melt them together, adding the whipping cream based on your preferences for the right consistency.
You can add corn syrup to it to make the fudge luster and shiny.

Just used this Chocolate Fudge as dipping sauce or drizzle it over your favourite desserts. Happy cooking! :)

Are you confused about the different types of cream used in baking or even cooking? Therefore, for this entry we are going to talk about the different types of creams. Especially the different names that are being identified based on UK, US and Australian/New Zealand definition. Corn Syrup

Did you know?

The purpose of a Corn Syrup in melted Chocolate.

Shiny! Yes. It makes the chocolate more shiny and luster. Saw this tip in one of the tv episode of Martha Stewart when a guest of her made her rendition of Chocolate Hot Fudge. We tried it ourselves and it did make the wonders for chocolate fudge. Shiny and smooth. Hmm, it would be awesome especially if you dip marshmallow into it. Delish! Or drizzle it over ice-cream! So, try it for yourself :) We would love to try the hot fudge as the Donuts base. Experimenting soon!

In the mean time, don't forget to visit our pages of delectable delights! :) and ordering is as simple as filling a form. Orders are for premises in Singapore.
